FTC Rejects Recorded Telemarketing Calls

Resisting pressure from industry, the FTC says that marketers cannot use recorded spiels to reach consumers, even if they have a pre-existing business relationship with that customer. Written permission from the consumer would be required. For more consumer news, visit Consumer World.
