MA Passes Credit Freeze Law

Soon, consumers in Massachusetts will be able to put a freeze on their credit report for $5 to prevent any access to it without their permission. This is designed to protect again ID theft. Companies and agencies that maintain personal records of consumers will have to notify authorities and affected individuals if their security systems are breached.
